Foster Fridays is a corporate team-building program that engages employees and offers a unique opportunity for companies to have a real impact on the lives of the most vulnerable children in our communities - those in the foster care system - by giving them access to higher education programs. Casual for a Cause
Each Foster Friday has a theme designed to educate individuals about the challenges facing youth in foster care while encouraging creativity, conversation, and fun.
Virtual or In-person
With both virtual and in-person options, participation in Foster Fridays will boost morale and inspire employees to give back regardless of location.
Benefits of Participation
Similar to the ‘Casual Friday’ we've all heard of and/or participated in, employees ‘buy in’ to participate in Foster Fridays, and companies are encouraged to match their employees gifts. By participating, employees spend one Friday learning about foster care while dressing in the school spirit of their alma mater. The following Friday, employees hear from Comfort Cases Founder, Rob Scheer (virtually or in-person), as they participate in either a packing party or a drive for Comfort Cases items of toiletries, stuffed animals, pajamas, etc. Companies can choose to allow participating employees to leave early on the second Friday. Each of two dedicated Foster Fridays are designed to educate individuals about the challenges facing youth in foster care while encouraging creativity, conversation, and fun!
